The 2015 Hyundai Accent is available as either a hatchback or sedan, and though it is considered a subcompact vehicle, it is far roomier and ergonomic than you might expect. Not only can adults sit in the backseat comfortably, but the trunk is considerable: 13.7 cubic feet for the sedan and 21.2 cubic feet for the hatchback. Add to that responsive acceleration, a confident curvaceous body, and an affordable price, it might just be perfect. Powering all three available trims is a 137-horsepower, 1.6-liter direct-injection four-cylinder engine, front-wheel drive, and either a manual transmission or an automatic with a fuel-efficient Eco mode for all trims. GLS, the only sedan trim, comes with a driver seat armrest, keyless entry, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat, and a six-speaker sound system for satellite radio, a CD player, and a USB port. Two packages are available for the automatic transmission sedan, ranging from Bluetooth connectivity and audio to a center console storage box with a sliding armrest to rear disc brakes (instead of drum brakes). GS, the base hatchback trim, has the same features as the sedan as well as a cloth door trim and rear windshield wiper. Many of the optional features mentioned above come standard the Sport hatchback, as well as a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a rear spoiler. Additional options include a sunroof for the automatic Sport hatchback and a leather-wrapped shift knob for the manual version.
